Webmaster/Manager/Director: Responsible for management of both the Development staff and Network Administration staff to produce quality web sites for the firm and our clients. Coordinated and participated heavily in establishing BCI as an Internet Development practitioner. Projects include static web sites, E-Commerce efforts, VPN implementations, and Security Analyses for various clients. Provide information architecture, internet strategy definition, and coding in Javascript, HTML, ASP, SQL, site configuration in IIS, Microsoft Exchange, I-mail, and WebTrends. Various development tools are used for clients as well as BCI corporate site. Provide technical representation in boardroom presentations for marketing/sales efforts.

Sr. Consultant: Manage, design, code, test and implement requests for new and existing systems for clients utilizing CASE tool technologies. Participated as member of a client Y2K Project Teams for systems in both batch and on-line environments. Responsibilities included analysis, design, programming, ad-hoc DB2 query development in batch and on-line SPUFI and QMF, project management, team management and Consulting Services Management duties. Responsible for Web Development project teams that developed consulting firm’s own web page as well as ongoing support of firm’s web access, site content and site enhancement efforts.
1989 - 1995
Moore Business Forms & Systems Division, Lake Forest, IL
1994 and 1995: IT Department Manager: Responsible for new development teams that implemented an Enterprise-wide Customer database system utilizing the IEF Case tool. This was a high visibility project requiring extensive interaction with various user departments and upper levels of management. This project was both batch and on-line and made significant use of External Action Blocks. In addition to personnel and project management, responsibilities included Host Encyclopedia Management; workstation-based data modeling, DB2 performance tuning, as well as some participation in coding, testing, and post-implementation support. Encyclopedia Management included model migration strategy development & implementation, and production implementation using the IEF CASE tool on both mainframe encyclopedia and workstation environments.
1989 to 1993: Project Manager: Responsible for the overall coordination and implementation of a major conversion and consolidation of 3 decentralized data centers and their multiple applications. This multi-facility, multi-department, multi-million dollar project was delivered on time and on budget. Also responsible for the National Sales Systems enhancements, maintenance and support Department. Provided project management and team leadership as well as programming and analysis skills to these efforts in addition to personnel management functions of hire/fire, training and salary/review administration.

Applied Computer Principles, Inc., Oak Brook, IL (firm went out of business)
Duties: Senior Technical Consultant: Responsible for design/programming at various client sites working in IMS/CICS environments, Cobol/CICS environments, as well as working with Cobol/CICS/DB2 systems. Worked on maintenance and enhancements to existing systems as well as new development utilizing micro to mainframe communications in conjunction with IMS and CICS.

MAINFRAME Project Manager: Responsible for a design/programming team working on a major Automated Time & Attendance Tracking System for a large client. Involved in close co-ordination with 2 other teams on the same project. Responsibilities included leading a team to design and implement a major Inventory Costing System. This was a combined CICS & batch system was installed on an IBM 3083 under MVS/XA. Also worked with a team of analysts and programmers to conclude the design and installation of a Bank Account Reconciliation System. This system has been in production since 1986. Overall project responsibilities also included supervision of programming teams, employee evaluations, project budgets and estimating, as well as programming for various clients.
MICRO Project Manager: Responsible for all PC Division operations including supervision of programming teams, employee evaluations, hiring, firing, budgets and estimating. This team designed and implemented customized micro systems for full accounting functions (A/R, A/P, Job Cost, G/L, Inventory, etc.) for many diverse client companies. Developed and conducted seminars on microcomputers and their software, as well as end-user training.
